I don’t think I am ever going to grill turkey burgers again. I had less than a 1/2 of ground turkey (2 burgers worth) in my refrigerator. I wanted to use and didn’t feel like grilling. I googled turkey burgers in the oven and then baked turkey burgers and came across this recipe http://www.makedinnereasy.com/baked-turkey-burgers.html.
I decided to try it even though I didn’t have all the ingredients or a 1lb of meat. Instead of bread crumbs I used crushed French’s French Fried Onions, a small handful, which also took place of the chopped onion, instead of ketchup I used bbq sauce. I like it better and since the sauce called for ketchup and brown sugar I just used bbq sauce for that too.
I didn’t measure anything just used a little of everything and then put them in the oven for 32 minutes but I covered it with some tin foil loosely.
They came out so juicy/moist. There were no strong taste of anything just the best turkey burger I ever ate and made. I don’t make them that much because they are usually dry - but now I might make them more often.
